Installed on my PTR 9KT (MP5K pattern) and it was a game changer. I've been running suppressed with 147 grain loads then found out that HK recommends this locking piece for that application. The gun shoots almost as soft as a 22 and the action noise is noticeably quieter. A 100% must have if you are running suppressed with 147 grain or heavier projectiles.

Get it while you can. If you're reading this, and the HK #28 (80 degree) locking piece is in stock, then you have found the proverbial unicorn. I ordered one several months ago. This locking piece is literally as rare as hen's teeth. Do you need one? From my research, you need the HK #28 locking piece ONLY IF ALL THREE OF THE FOLLOWING ARE TRUE: 1) You have an HK SP5K-PDW, AND 2) You want to shoot it with a suppressor attached, AND 3) You are using subsonic ammo (e.g., 147 grain or higher). Based on my understanding, you should install this HK #28 locking piece ONLY IF ALL THREE OF THE ABOVE APPLY. I do not know about clones. I do know that a particular after-market version of this item is out of spec, and did not even fit into the bolt mechanism of my spec HK SP5K-PDW.
